Hong Kong reports no new local COVID-19 infection for 5 straight days

HONG KONG, May 21 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong has seen zero local infection of COVID-19 for five consecutive days.
Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported one new confirmed case on Friday, which was imported, taking the total tally to 11,829.
According to the CHP, the new infection involved a 29-year-old woman who arrived from Indonesia.
A total of 30 cases have been reported in the past 14 days, including five local cases. Of these local cases, one had an unknown infection source, the CHP said.
Hong Kong launched a COVID-19 vaccination drive on Feb. 26. More than 2 million doses have been administered and some 1.21 million people have taken at least one shot of the vaccine, including 837,100 people fully vaccinated.
