Political factors at play during the extradition process may lead to a serious violation of justice. Huawei released a statement regarding its CFO's extradition case in Canada on Wednesday adding that Meng Wanzhou intends to apply for a stay of the extradition proceedings.

Lawyers for Meng Wanzhou made three disclosures at court on Wednesday:

-Criminal case against Meng is simply not true;

-Actions directed in part by the FBI led to violations of Meng's rights;

-Arrest of Meng violates US Extradition Treaty and Canadian extradition law.

Meng Wanzhou would apply for disclosure of more evidence from the prosecutors on the case and the disclosure application was set for September 23 to October 4 in B.C. Supreme Court, Vancouver, said local media.
