Hubei releases first COVID-19 risk level assessment report

Hubei Province released the first COVID-19 risk level assessment report on Saturday, in which 103 county-level regions have been assessed and graded as a low, medium or high risk based on factors that include accumulated confirmed cases, latest epidemic trend and cluster-infected cases , according to relevant regulations released by China's State Council.

Regions with no confirmed cases, or no new confirmed cases for 14 consecutive days are rated as low risk regions . Regions with new confirmed cases within 14 days and fewer than 50 accumulated confirmed cases or regions with over 50 accumulated confirmed cases and no cluster-infected cases within 14 days are rated as medium risk regions. Regions with more than 50 accumulated confirmed cases and any cluster-infected cases within 14 days are rated as high risk regions.

There are 11 low risk county-level regions in the province, including Wufeng and Laifeng counties, accounting for 10.68 percent of all county-level regions; 34 medium risk county-level regions, including Zhuxi and Zhushan counties, accounting for 30.01 percent; and 58 high risk county-level regions, including Yingshan county and Hanyang counties, accounting for 56.31 percent. The authorities shall pay close attention to epidemic updates and renew risk levels according to dynamic assessment.
