Shanghai (People’s Daily) – Delegates who are in China to attend the upcoming South-South Human Rights Forum have lauded the country’s people-centric development and efforts to secure human rights.
Participants consisting of about 100 officials and scholars from 70 developing countries and UN agencies visited Shanghai where they toured a local community. They were also taken to the Shanghai World Expo Museum and the iconic Shanghai Tower.
The 2019 South-South Human Rights Forum will open in Beijing on Tuesday. The two-day meeting will be held under the theme — “cultural diversity and the development of global human rights”.
