The 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is expected to see at least 190 forums and business talks, covering twelve major sectors - transport, travel, construction, insurance services, financial services, telecommunications, computer and information services, charges for the use of intellectual property, personal, cultural and recreational services, maintenance and repair services, other business services, processing services, and government services.

Considering the prevention and control of COVID-19, the event will be held online and in-person.

This year's CIFTIS will present more diversified programs and services compared to previous sessions, as it has integrated the content of the China (Beijing) International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE), China International Tourism Commodities Fair (CITCF), Beijing International Finance Expo (BIFE), World Winter Sports (Beijing) Expo, and World Robot Conference (WRC) to create a new model that features various exhibition themes.

CIFTIS, the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) and China International Import Expo (CIIE) are the three major exhibition platforms for China's opening-up.
