The coronavirus outbreak continues to draw reactions from leaders across the world.

China has stepped up efforts to tackle the spread of the disease and new infections, and has even commissioned the construction of two specialized coronavirus hospitals in Wuhan, the city at the epicenter of the outbreak. The hospitals are expected to start taking patients on February 3 and 6 respectively,

14,441 cases had been confirmed in China up to Sunday, of whom 304 have died and 328 have recovered. Outside of China, 140 cases have been confirmed.

As the fight against the virus goes on, CGTN Africa got a chance to talk to Secretary General of Kenya's Jubilee Party, as well as the country's cabinet secretary without portfolio, Raphael Tuju.

Tuju commended China's handling of the virus. He also sent his condolences to the loved ones of those killed by the coronavirus.
