The Hanjiang Bay Bridge is 2,754-meters long and the bridge deck width is 52.5 meters. It is the first single-tower cable-stayed bridge in Wuhan.

The completion and opening of the Hanjiang Bay Bridge plays a significant role in promoting the economy and improving regional traffic conditions in surrounding areas, helps the functional integration of the two sides of the Hanjiang River.

The main bridge of the Han River Bay Bridge uses the seventh generation of Q690qE high-performance bridge steel, the fruit of one of China's 13th Five-Year Plan key scientific research projects, for the first time. It means that China has achieved an independent development goal. Bridges made with this new generation of bridge steel can be up to 20 percent lighter.
