Last makeshift hospital in Wuhan closes

Wuhan (People’s Daily) - The last makeshift hospital, Wuchang “Fangcang” hospital, officially closed on Tuesday. All 16 makeshift hospitals in Wuhan have been closed, where 12,000 patients were treated.

The Wuchang “Fangcang” hospital operated with 784 beds on the evening of February 5. As of closing, this hospital had admitted 1,124 patients (including 833 discharged and 291 transferred). 868 medical staff of 14 medical teams nationwide participated in the treatment.

On February 3, according to the Wuhan Coronavirus Outbreak Prevention and Control Command, the Wuhan government began to build makeshift hospitals to receive and treat patients with mild symptoms of novel coronavirus pneumonia.
