Jiangsu province is urging Party organizations at all levels and all Party members, especially the leaders, to draw lessons from the case of Wang Like, a senior official under investigation on suspicion of serious violations of Party disciplinary rules and laws.

Wang, one of the top Party officials in Jiangsu, turned himself in and is being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, the top anti-graft agency said on Saturday.

Wang had worked in Jiangsu as head of the public security department and secretary of the CPC's Jiangsu Committee for Political and Legal Affairs since 2013. He was also a member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Committee and a deputy to the 16th, 17th and 18th National People's Congress.

Born in 1964, Wang had worked in Liaoning province from 1980 to 2013, mostly in the public security department, before he was transferred to Jiangsu. He made his last public appearance at a conference about veterans in Nanjing on Thursday.
