Lu Kang and Hua Chunying, both former spokespersons of China’s Foreign Ministry, began their new posts, according to the Foreign Ministry’s website.

Lu now leads the ministry’s Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs.
Lu announced that he would leave his posts as deputy head of the ministry’s information department and spokesperson for the ministry at a regular press conference last Thursday.
Hua has been promoted to head the ministry’s information department.
Hua became the deputy head of the ministry’s information department in August 2012. In November of the same year, she served as a spokesperson for the ministry.
