On Thursday, a handwritten note left at the Dongguan Library in China's Guangdong Province went viral.

"I have lived here for 17 years and been reading books at your library for 12 years," read the note. "Books enlighten people. Reading only does good to people. The pandemic has led to many businesses shutting down, which left migrant workers no work. Thinking of those past years, the library is the best place for me in the city. I hope the Dongguan Library can prosper and help more migrant workers in the future."

Reading the message online, many netizens left their words of support and good wishes. "As a book lover myself, I also find libraries to be the best place in the world...I hope he can go back to the Dongguan Library again and read books." One netizen wrote.

The Dongguan Library also shared a photo of the note on its Weibo account and said,  "Thank you! We will always be waiting for you to come back."
