China has decided to impose sanctions on U.S. officials who have acted viciously on issues related to Hong Kong, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Thursday.

China is revoking visa exemption for U.S. diplomat passport holders visiting China's Hong Kong, Macao SARs, as countermeasure on U.S. sanctions on Chinese officials, Hua said.
