According to CCTV (China Central Television), the national death rate of the novel coronavirus in China has dropped to two percent since Thursday.

In central China's Hubei Province (except Wuhan), the mortality rate has dropped to 1.3 percent. In Wuhan, the epicenter of the epidemic, the figure dropped to 4.1 percent.

The decline correlates with the arrival of medical teams in Wuhan from across China, helping local hospitals in the treatment of coronavirus-infected patients.

So far, there are 34,130 confirmed cases of the 2019-nCoV in China with 719 deaths.
