Eight children from Myanmar suffering from congenital heart disease received free treatment at Fuwai Yunnan Cardiovascular Hospital (FYCH) in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan Province, on Friday.
This rescue action plan was launched by the China Charity Federation, Yunnan Charity Federation and the FYCH under the country’s Belt and Road Initiative in 2017, and has so far treated 27 Myanmar children.
A total of 15 patients will be treated free of charge in 2019, and more will come to China for treatment later.
