The Chinese city of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, opened seven air-raid shelters on Sunday, allowing residents to take refuge from the heat.
The temperature and humidity in all of the shelters are controlled with comfort in mind.
Some air-raid shelters are equipped with drinking fountains, tables, chairs, wireless internet and medicine for heatstroke prevention.
Entertainment facilities in the shelters include televisions, chess and cards, a fitness room and newspapers.
