Over 5,200 volunteers are university students from Shanghai and neighboring provinces. Foreign volunteers also participated in the event.

Currently, there are 315 volunteer service stations and nearly 250 volunteer teams in Shanghai, preparing for the week-long event held from Nov. 5 to 10.

The CIIE is the first ever Chinese fair focusing exclusively on imported foreign goods and services. More than 2,800 companies from over 130 countries and regions have confirmed participation in the event.

At Saturday's oath-taking ceremony, the expo organizer also revealed the theme song and two kinds of suits for the volunteers.

One is a red Chinese-style suit with clover-shaped buttons. The other is a sports outfit with stars and stripes, symbolizing the connectivity of the Belt and Road and continents around the globe.
