Due to the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday and the novel coronavirus outbreak, more than 5 million people have left Wuhan. Nine million people remain in the city, which is now under lockdown, said Wuhan Mayor Zhou Xianwang at a press briefing on Sunday.

Number of people infected with the coronavirus may increase by 1,000 in Wuhan, said Zhou.
