You may have heard of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, but you probably know little about what the foundation has contributed to the society and the world. PD Café visited the Gates Foundation China office in Beijing and interviewed its head Li Yinuo, who showed us around the office, and talked about philanthropy.
Li has got many titles: former McKinsey partner, head of the Gates Foundation in China, a blogger with 800,000 followers, founder of an innovative education group in Beijing and Silicon Valley and a mother of three children.
In the interview, Li shared her personal experiences in handling “multi-tasks". She also briefed us on what the Gates Foundation has been doing.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation invests in ideas that could change the lives of millions of the worlds’ poorest people. The Gates Foundation China Office is committed to supporting development within China in areas like poverty alleviation, nutrition and philanthropic development. The foundation also supports China as a development partner for the rest of the world.
Li said that philanthropy gives her a different viewpoint of the world and society. Take a sip of this episode of PD Café and learn how philanthropy changed Li and her life.
