The Chinese people have a tradition of eating noodles on birthdays. These people express their patriotic feelings by commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC.
People depict the Chinese words “National Day” and the number “70” with a noodle 700 meters long.
Intangible cultural heritage inheritor Zhu Zhiqiu from Weishan Yi and Hui Autonomous County in southwest China's Yunnan Province provided noodles for the activity. Zhu and her family have a technique of making a bowl of noodles with just one noodle.
The noodles used to celebrate National Day were free for citizens and tourists at the event.
Tuesday marks the 70th anniversary of the PRC and celebrations have been held throughout the country.
