Chinese tourists wounded in bus crash in Canada
At least two dozen people are hurt in a tour bus crash in Ontario.
The US tour bus was carrying 37 Chinese tourists.
Police say the crash occurred between Ottawa and Toronto.
The bus veered off the pavement and seaside into a rock embankment.
The Chinese embassy in Ottawa says they are very concerned about the condition of the injured passengers. (China Daily)

The death toll from Guatemala's volcanic eruption rises to 65.
Authorities say they had been closely monitoring the Volcano of Fire after activity picked up Sunday morning.
The fast-moving lava flows overtook people in homes and streets.
Temperatures reached as high as 700 degrees Celsius, and hot ash and volcanic gases caused rapid asphyxiation.
More than 1,000 people were being housed in temporary shelters. (AP)

Iran’s top leader orders preparation for starting uranium enrichment
Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the country's atomic energy agency to prepare to enrich up to 190,000 separative work units of uranium.
Khamenei issued the order in a televised speech to commemorate the 29th anniversary of the death of the founder of the Islamic republic.
The 2015 nuclear deal limits Iran to low-enriched uranium. (Xinhua)

More than 450 million people in China suffer from nearsightedness.
And they're getting younger.
Thirty percent of primary school students are near-sighted, and about 90 percent for college students.

New lab for FAST telescope opens in Guizhou
China opens a new laboratory for the world's largest single-dish radio telescope in southwest China's Guizhou Province.
The facility will focus on research and the technological development of low frequency radio astronomy.
It will also promote international cooperation on Square Kilometer Array.
That's an international effort to build the world's largest radio telescope using arrays. (Xinhua)

First Saudi women receive driving licenses
Saudi Arabia issues its first driver's licenses to 10 women.
This, as the kingdom prepares to lift the world's only ban on women driving in three weeks.
A government statement says the 10 women already held driving licenses from other countries.
They took a brief driving test and eye exam before being issued the licenses in the capital, Riyadh.
Other women across the country have been preparing for the right to drive on June 24 by taking driving courses on female-only college campuses. (AP)

Job blacklist takes aim at sex abusers
And China will go nationwide on a pilot program in Shanghai that bans child-sex offenders from taking jobs close to children.
A report says those who have criminal records of sexual assault or indecency toward minors will be blacklisted and banned from working in 11 types of jobs.
Those jobs are found in schools, amusement parks and stadiums. (China Daily)
