On January 1, 2019, New Year's Day, People's Daily will launch its new look featuring the latest in color printing technology and print publishing.
This latest incarnation of People's Daily will arrive on newsstands New Year's Day. On regular working days, the daily edition will offer 20 spreads instead of the usual 24. The weekend editions will feature eight layouts instead of 12, while holiday editions will offer eight color spreads.
This latest development marks a significant advance in line with today's evolving standards of how news is disseminated and addresses the latest trends in media integration.
The occasion signals a vital step for China's largest newspaper as it continues on its journey into the new era adhering to the high-quality standards that are necessary for progress to happen. Highlighting this historic event, readers will be treated with a full-color edition of People's Daily for the first time ever.
Thanks to the latest advances in color printing technology, the People's Daily newsstand price will not be affected.
