Persons responsible for Changsheng vaccine case handled seriously

Beijing (People's Daily) - China has dealt with six centrally administered officials found responsible for an illegal vaccine production case by Changsheng Life Sciences Ltd, according to the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and National Supervisory Commission, China’s anti-corruption watchdogs.

The Central Committee of the CPC attached great importance to the defective vaccine case involving Changchun Changsheng Life Sciences Limited after it occurred and the State Council sent a special investigation team to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the case.

For Wu Zhen, former member of the party group and deputy director of the China Food and Drug Administration, who is suspected of duty crime, the authorities gave him a dismissal from the party and transferred his case to the procuratorate for review and prosecute according to the law.

Relevant departments and local authorities have seriously handled 42 officials according to regulations, disciplines and laws.
