A photo exhibition displaying the humanities and history of Belt and Road-related countries opened in the Palace Museum in Beijing on Friday.

The exhibition, which showcases 253 pictures taken along the ancient routes of the Silk Road and Maritime Silk Road, aims to reflect the communication among different civilizations throughout history on the basis of mutual respect.

These exhibits captured moments recording key historical sites, abundant folk art, unique lifestyles and people-to-people exchanges among different countries.

This large photography project was launched by the People's Daily and supported by the Palace Museum.
