A harvest festival for green tea was held on Sunday in Jingxian county, Anhui province, to boost the tea trade and tourism.

The festival, in its 9th consecutive year, livestreamed its opening ceremonies for the first time.

The tea harvest usually lasts through April and requires intense manual labor. Most of the workers come from non-production areas. Each worker can pick about 2 kg of fresh tea leaves per day. That yields only 500 grams of dried leaves as final product, according to local farmers.
