HANGZHOU, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Organizers of the 2022 Asian Para Games said preparations are going smoothly at the first coordination committee meeting for the Games held here on Wednesday through video.

The Hangzhou Asian Para Games organizing committee started to prepare for the games last December. During the past half-year, the emblem "Forward," the slogan "Heart Meets, Dream Shines" and the mascot "Feifei" were officially unveiled.

"We will take the preparation as an opportunity to speed up the development of the cause of people with disabilities, and to promote the construction of a barrier-free city," said Chen Weiqiang, deputy secretary-general of the HAPGOC and vice mayor of Hangzhou.

The 4th Asian Para Games will open on October 9, 2022, just two weeks after the closing ceremony of the Asian Games.
