With the changes of the epidemic in outbound environment, Qingdao demanded relative districts to dispatch cars to pick up all the people who entered the country since Monday, except those who need to be isolated or observed. For those who lived within Qingdao, they were required to quarantine at home for 14 days. As for those in business travel and other short-term affairs, they were assigned to designated hotels.

From Jan. 24 to Feb. 23, the city's airport received 20,516 incoming passengers. Strict observation or quarantine measures have been implemented on those traveling from hard-hit regions, with fever or cough symptoms, or having been in close contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients.

According to staff members from the command, the Qingdao’s government has attached equal importance to epidemic prevention and control, as well as work resumption. Qingdao will continue to provide services to enterprises including foreign-funded enterprises, guiding them to prevent epidemic and solving their problems of materials, return to work and transportation. At the same time, the communities should take care of personnel from foreign-funded enterprises during their quarantine.

The local government said it will enhance risk assessment and port quarantine measures to better curb the epidemic and take the initiative to explain the situation to foreign inbound passengers.
