Robotic system handles entire process of loading containers onto ships at Tianjin port

For the first time, containers were loaded onto driverless trucks automatically, fixed and locked by robots and then transferred to ships at the Tianjin Port Container Terminal on Saturday.
No one was on site during the whole process.

Tianjin Port achieved this by adopting intelligent station technology and an integrated management system for container operation, providing a new solution for container handling technology for the world.
"Tianjin Port has achieved a number of pioneering technological innovations, marking an upgrade in smart port construction," said Chu Bin, Party secretary and board chairman of Tianjin Port Group.
