Sand, dust hits northwest China's Shaanxi

XI'AN, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Sand and dust will affect most parts of northwest China's Shaanxi Province in the coming days, local authorities said Saturday.

The latest predictions showed the northern and central regions of the province will see sandy and dusty conditions starting from Saturday afternoon, which is likely to cause moderate pollution or above in the cities of Yulin and Yan'an in northern Shaanxi.

The dust pollution will not abate until Monday night, according to the environmental monitoring center under the provincial department of ecology and environment.
