Second China-US diplomatic, security dialogue to be held on Nov. 9: MFA

Beijing (People's Daily) - China and US agreed that the second China-US diplomatic and security dialogue will be held in Washington D.C. on November 9, Hua Chunying, the spokesperson of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), said.

Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Leading Group for Foreign Affairs, will hold a dialogue with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of Defense James Mattis, said Hua.

Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister Wei Fenghe will attend the dialogue. The two sides will have an in-depth exchange of views on China-US relations and other important issues of common concern, said Hua at the regular press conference on Tuesday.

The first round of the dialogue was held in Washington D.C. on June 21, 2017.
