Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, will deliver a speech at the seventh World Peace Forum later this month, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Wednesday.
Yang, also director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, will address the opening session of the forum, which is to be held at Tsinghua University from July 14 to 15, according to Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying.
Organized by Tsinghua University in partnership with the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs, the forum is a high-level non-governmental seminar focusing on international security topics.
