Meng Hongwei, vice minister of Public Security, has been being investigated by China's National Supervisory Commission for suspected violations of laws, according to an official statement released on Sunday.
Meng has been placed under investigation for accepting bribery and other suspected violations of laws, Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi said Monday morning. He also added that anyone who violates laws will be investigated and punished.
