Meihekou, a county-level city in Northeast China's Jilin province, has taken multiple measures to meet people's needs to achieve their aspirations for a happy life.

On every weekday's morning, the table tennis hall of the Meihekou Sports Center is full of ping-pong lovers, swiftly moving their bodies and bats, although most of them are senior people.

"I, along with my wife, come to the sports hall to play table tennis regularly. We are attracted by the new venue's environment and the small entrance fee," said Chen Keqin, a 77-year-old resident.

"The new venue is big and clean. After every 30 minutes, the staff members disinfect the table. After every shift, they mop the floor. For people aged over 60 like me, we only need to pay as little as 120 yuan ($6.80) for a year to use the hall every morning from Monday to Friday. There is also a free bus service to it," Chen added.
