BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of officials on Friday.
Xiangli Bin was appointed vice minister of science and technology. He was removed from the post of vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He Ping was appointed president of Xinhua News Agency, replacing Cai Mingzhao.
Halmurat Abdurahman was appointed deputy commander of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, replacing Li Fayi.
Jiang Xuguang was removed from the post of vice minister of water resources.
