Rolling back additional tariffs at same pace and ratio is an important condition for reaching the phase one of the Sino- US trade deal, China's Ministry of Commerce spoksperson Gao Feng said at a press conference on Thursday.

Gao reiterated China's clear position that as the biliteral trade war began with imposing tarrifs, it should also be ended with a removal of tarrifs. "The amount of tariff relief in the phase one should depend on the content of that agreement", Gao said.

The removal of additional tariffs based on the agreement will stabilize market expectations and benefit the two economies as well as the world's, Gao added.
