One Taiwan resident, a man in his 20s, tested positive for the virus on Monday after returning from Nepal on Sept. 3, the agency said in a press release.

He tested negative for COVID-19 within three days before he departed from Nepal and did not show suspicious symptoms when arriving in Taiwan but began to develop a fever, running nose, headache, and diarrhea on Sept. 5, the statement said.

From Sept. 4 to 6, the island reported four new COVID-19 cases, three of whom are Taiwan residents and one Filipino. They were believed to have contracted the virus in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Japan.
