China will hold a large-scale exhibit on the achievements of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in the past seven decades at the Beijing Exhibition Center.

It's part of the activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the PRC's founding.

According to an official announcement, the exhibit has three features.

First, it will highlight the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), by setting the important decisions and deployment from Party's national congress and major meetings as the main line.

Second, the displays will be people-oriented. The CPC comes from the people, fights for the people, and prospers because of the people.

In addition to the major state historical affairs, significant pillars and inventions of the country, many items that tell of changes in the lives of ordinary people will be displayed, such as the first generation of chemical fiber products, the first farmhouse resort, the abolition of food coupons, and the "toilet revolution.”

Visitors will also see the scenes of wedding room in the 1950s and the houses of urban and rural households in the early days of reform and opening up.

Third, there is a lot of innovation in the exhibits. The exhibit will serve as a time tunnel which can evoke resonance of people of all ages.

With the help of product components, sand table models and other physical objects, 150 "firsts" obtained in related fields in the past 70 years will be displayed.

There are also walls of models, on which the heroic figures emerged in the past 70 years are introduced, demonstrating the spirit of hard working and struggling upheld by Chinese nation.
