China's Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday that anyone who has a conscience and sense of justice should resist and oppose violent crimes in Hong Kong and not support or connive with them.

Spokesperson Geng Shuang made the remarks at a regular press conference when asked a question related to Apple's approval of an app.

Apple recently allowed a map app on its App Store. The mobile app is used to identify the whereabouts of the police, allowing rioters in Hong Kong to go on violent acts.

"I don't have the information of the specific situation, but what I can tell you is that the extreme violent crimes that have taken place in Hong Kong have seriously challenged Hong Kong's rule of law and social order. They have also threatened the safety of Hong Kong citizens and property, and destroyed Hong Kong's prosperity and stability," Geng said.
