Tourists in Heilongjiang infected by norovirus, condition controlled

Through the overnight detection of the Harbin Center for Disease Control and Prevention, it was determined Sunday in Yabuli, Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province that some of the tourists in Club Med had vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms of norovirus infection.

Forty-two tourists were registered, eight of whom went to the Yabuli Health Center and local hospital. Two were diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis and no patients hospitalized.

The condition has been effectively controlled, authorities said.
