Two C919 jets successfully completed test flights on Friday in Shanghai and Xi'an, in what is the latest round of stability and system checks for China's first domestically-manufactured large passenger aircraft, reports the thepaper.cn.

The first plane took up from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 7:13 a.m. for a 94-minute test flight. The second jet took off from Xi'an at 11:05 a.m. for a three hours and 10 minute flight.

According to the paper.cn, the C919 development project has progressed smoothly so far. More flight tests will be made by the two planes as they prepare for eventual certification by domestic and international aviation regulators.
