Manila (People's Daily) - Two Chinese nationals were shot dead in the Philippines by a motorcycle-borne assailant on a Manila street at around 11.40am local time on August 18.

The Chinese Embassy in the Philippines said that it was watching the situation and verifying the relevant person’s identity with the Philippine police.

According to CNN, a 30-year-old Chinese died on the spot and another 35-year-old Chinese national passed away after being taken to hospital.
