Two pneumonia patients infected by the new coronavirus in Guangxi Province have been cured and released from hospitals Tuesday, marking a first in Guangxi, according to local health officials.

One case is a 46-year-old man working in Wuzhou city, Hubei Province, who had contact with a diagnosed patient from Wuhan. He was admitted to a designated hospital in Wuzhou for isolation and treatment on January 21 due to a 5-day fever, cough and excessive sputum.

Another is a 29-year-old man who traveled to Guangxi's Fangchenggang city from Hubei. He was admitted to the local designated hospital on Thursday for suspected coronavirus infection.

After being diagnosed and carefully treated, the two patients gradually returned to a healthy condition and met and requirements for release after assessment.
