The first China International Import Expo (CIIE) is scheduled to be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2018.

Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony of CIIE and deliver a keynote speech on November 5.

Xi proposed the expo in May 2017.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up. Attracting over 2,800 companies, and more than 200 businesses on the Fortune Global 500 list, CIIE is expected to bring opportunities to all countries while China opens its market to the world and develops a modern economy.
