Chinese eSports team Royal Never Give Up (RNG) captured their first championship at the 2018 League of Legends (LOL) Mid-season Invitational, defeating South Korean team KING-ZONE DragonX (KZ), 3-1, in the finals on Sunday.

It has been three years since EDward Gaming claimed a victory at the inaugural tournament in 2015.

The Mid-Season Invitational is LOL's second most important international tournament besides the world championship. 

The 2017 edition of the Mid-Season Invitational reportedly attracted 364 million viewers across the world.
