Keys tapping and mouses clicking herald the series of programming competitions held on Wednesday by Ant Finance at ATEC in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

Competitors puzzled out preset tasks based on mini programs in the Alipay app. They had to finish one of the three randomly picked tasks within eight minutes.

During the competition, an 11-year-old girl, who started programming only one year ago, drew a lot attention. Wang Haiyan, a sixth grader from Longhua Primary School, Shanghai, has already created 18 digital games on a programming platform. There is another boy in her school who also learned programming, according to Wang.

This programming challenge aimed at allowing program developers to experience new features on Alipay’s mini program platform, which was launched on September 12, Fang Yidong, the organizer of this competition told People’s Daily, meanwhile Alipay was collecting feedback to provide better service as a platform.
