A total of 97.5 million Chinese students will be taking the national college entrance exam, or gaokao, from June 7-8. The exam season has drawn widespread attention from across the country, as many see it as a life-changing occasion for students and their families.

People's Daily Online, together with short-video platform Douyin and students from 20 Chinese universities, including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, and Nankai University, produced a video showing students dancing to cheer on and show their support for the gaokao examinees.
