Wang said that Kenya is China's strategic partner in Africa, adding that mutual understanding, mutual trust and mutual support are the distinctive features of China-Kenya relations.

China appreciates Kenya's firm support on Taiwan, Hong Kong and other issues concerning China's core interests and major concerns, he said.

Omamo thanked China's help during the fight against coronavirus and stressed that China has always been an important partner of Africa in politics, trade and development.

In the call with Bourita, the two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in their fight against COVID-19 and efforts of resuming work and production.

When China's COVID-19 vaccine is developed and put into use, it will become a global public good, Wang said, adding that China is ready to take the lead in benefiting African countries with vaccines so as to support their anti-epidemic efforts.
