Passenger flows via railways in Guangdong province ballooned since the Spring Festival travel rush began about two weeks ago, with more than 16 million people taking railways of the Guangzhou Railway Group in the first 12 days.

Passenger volume is about 80 percent of what it was in pre-COVID 2019, the company said.
