Jinyintan hospital, a major designated hospital to admit confirmed COVID-19 cases in central China's Wuhan, welcomed a special plasma donor on Tuesday. 

She is Cheng Lin, wife of Zhang Dingyu, who is the president of Jinyintan hospital and suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), but has spent more than 30 days at the center of COVID-19 outbreak, fighting the new coronavirus with his life and a selfless heart.

Cheng came with her friends who have recovered from the novel coronavirus disease to donate plasma at the blood donation site of Jinyintan hospital. After a series of inquiries, physical examination, and other assessments, she met the requirements of donations and successfully donated 400ml of plasma.

Cheng was diagnosed with novel coronavirus disease on Jan. 19.  After 10 days of treatment, she recovered and was discharged from hospital. She is now in good physical health. She also hopes more cured patients can donate their valuable plasma to the Jinyintan hospital to save more severe patients.
