At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, world leaders from several countries will attend the opening ceremony and other related activities of the second China International Import Expo (CIIE), foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying announced on Wednesday.
Attending leaders include French President Emmanuel Macron, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.
Besides participating in the opening ceremony, French President Macron will also pay a state visit to China during his stay from November 4 to 6.
The second CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10.
