The world’s largest container ship sailed from Taicang Port in East China’s Jiangsu Province to waters off Zhejiang Province on Friday to begin an eight-day trial voyage which will test its maneuverability, stability and equipment.

The 399.99-meter long MSC Irina is expected to enter service by the end of March.
The 61.3-meter wide, 33.5-meter-deep vessel has a 24,000-square-meter deck and can stack 24,346 20-foot standard containers in up to 25 layers, equivalent to the height of a 22-story building.
